This is the new bedroom. It's rather bigger than it appears here, but we don't have a fisheye lens to do it justice. The small hatch ahead is the "escape" hatch - apparently a requirement of building regulations. The dark looking patch in it is another velux window, and the idea is that, in the event of fire, you hinge it open, climb onto the roof and drop to the ground from there. |
