We performed Yeomen of the Guard in 1993. Yeomen is probably the best show written by Sullivan from a musical perspective, with some outstanding songs. It's also the only one to end tragically. I played the part of Wilfred Shadbolt, the jailer at the Tower of London. Generally accepted as one of my "loud, smelly" parts, it gave me considerable scope for slobbing around the stage. In the picture below, you should just be able to see the stick-on boil on my cheek. The truly observant will notice the similarity between the out-of-focus Phoebe, and Mavis, my other half.
