A Tale of Two Cities was a musical adaptation of Dickens' famous play, with the words written by Nigel Hartley and the music by Caroline Goates and Chandra James. It's a super adaptation and I feel honoured to have taken part in the first (and so far only) performances of it. We ran for 5 days in Ipswich and 3 days in the Spa Pavilion, Felixstowe (which seats around 900).
It had some wonderful songs in - I've put together a very small selection of them as midi files:

I played the part of Jerry Cruncher (another loud smelly part). He is the grave robber in the story. The photo is of me with my son, young Jerry, at the trial.
Who knows - perhaps one day it will be revived.
