Welcome to the Home Page of Ipswich Gilbert and Sullivan Society. Here you will find details of our annual stage show - invariably one (or more) of Gilbert and Sullivan's Operettas, together with details of the numerous concerts we sing - invariably not all G&S - and some other information should you wish to support us, as well as a little of the history of the Society.
This year we will be changing some of the arrangements for our shows. We are moving from the Ipswich Corn Exchange and instead performing at the new Seckford Theatre at Woodbridge School and the very new Apex Theatre in Bury St Edmunds. Our performance will be a little earlier - October 26th to 30th 2010 for Woodbridge and November 5th for Bury. The show will be what is probably the most popular G&S of them all - The Gondoliers.
Last year's shows, "The Sorcerer" and "Cox and Box", were held in the Corn Exchange from November 18th to 21st 2009.

The Ipswich Gilbert and Sullivan Society has a reputation for performing music of a high standard, performing one Gilbert and Sullivan operetta each year, together with a number of concerts in aid of charity. The concerts involve singing a wide variety of musical styles, from baroque to pop.
This year we are, as usual, running our Concert Season. We hope you'll join us.
Should any of this whet your appetite to become involved with the society in any capacity, please get in touch with our secretary.
