Welcome to the Home Page of Ipswich Gilbert and Sullivan Society. Here you will find details of our annual stage show - invariably one (or more) of Gilbert and Sullivan's Operettas, together with details of the numerous concerts we sing - invariably not all G&S - and some other information should you wish to support us, as well as a little of the history of the Society.
Last year's show, Princess Ida, took place on November 14-17 in Ipswich Corn Exchange. This year we plan to perform The Pirates of Penzance. This will be in the Corn Exchange, between November 12 and 15.
Visit the WhatsNew page to see What Else Is New.
The Ipswich Gilbert and Sullivan Society has a reputation for performing music of a high standard, performing one Gilbert and Sullivan operetta each year, together with a number of concerts in aid of charity. The concerts involve singing a wide variety of musical styles, from baroque to pop.
In 2008, we are, again, running our Concert Season this year. We hope you'll join us.
Should any of this whet your appetite to become involved with the society in any capacity, please get in touch with our secretary.
